Equilore addresses inaugural gathering

Therapy is a rich relational process, yet working as a therapist can be an isolated, lonely

experience.

PHYSIS Grove is intended to offer something important to us all – a gathering place where we can connect, explore and belong.

PHYSIS comes from the ancient Greek, meaning nature or the innate principle of growth and becoming within all living things. It reminds us growth is cultivated, not forced. It requires the right conditions. A grove is a place where trees grow alongside one another, their roots interconnected beneath the surface, offering shelter, strength and life through community.

Inspired by these ideas, PHYSIS Grove is is a welcoming space for therapists in the area

to nurture professional relationships, engage in thoughtful conversation, and remain connected to the values that first drew us into this work.

A chance to chat over a selection of refreshments will be followed by our inaugural speakers, Dr Loes Koorenhof and Delia Wilkinson of Equilore.

Offering equine facilitated psychotherapy, Equilore was founded in 2017 with the vision to support people with their mental health who have got stuck in the traditional system of support. In Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) the team works with their horses to gain insight in how we perceive, behave and interact with the world around us. Horses don’t judge. They care about your presence, your intentions and your ability to be and connect with them.

Loes founded Equilore in 2017 and is a Chartered Psychologist (British Psychological Society) and a qualified Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) practitioner (LEAP method). Delia has owned/been around horses all her life. She started her therapy career in 2014 and has been an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) practitioner (LEAP method) since Jan 2022 when she graduated with a L5 Diploma in EFP from the Crossfields Institute.

There is a small fee to cover costs; any surplus will be donated to Equilore.

Whether you are newly qualified, in training, or have many years of practice behind you, you are warmly invited to come along and belong. Bring your curiosity, your questions, your experience, and your presence.
